Happy New Year, everyone! 🎉 During my business trip to the U.S. in winter 2023, I had the chance to enjoy an unforgettable Christmas show in Chicago with my sibling.

It was none other than Cirque du Soleil’s seasonal performance, ‘Twas the Night Before…, held at the iconic Chicago Theater. Here’s my honest, self-paid review 👀

🏛️ Chicago Theater – Stunning From the Start

This theater is already known as a must-see in Chicago. The moment I walked in, I literally said, “Wow… this is real.”

Security checks at the entrance (officers scan your belongings)
Phones & personal items go into a bin before entry
No photography or video recording allowed during the performance

The interior is jaw-droppingly gorgeous, so I highly recommend arriving early to soak in the ambiance before the show starts.

🎪 The Show – Mind-Blowing Moments

I wish I could’ve filmed the performance — but of course, no cameras allowed 😭 So all the impressions are etched into my heart.

The quality? Simply phenomenal. Acrobatics, music, stage design, lighting… flawless.
One scene looked super risky — everyone went “OOHHH!!” — the energy was electric. On the third try, the performer nailed it. Goosebumps.
I finally understood why those front-row tickets were so pricey. It was circus magic right before our eyes.

My sibling even said, “Okay, that was the real deal.” We honestly want to bring our parents here next time.
