San Francisco Salesforce Park Review | Urban Healing Space

San Francisco Salesforce Park Review 🌿
During my trip to San Francisco last year, I visited Salesforce Park on the last day with my mom. I’ve always been interested in the company Salesforce, but my mom had never thought much of it—until she saw the park. After the tour, she jokingly told me to switch jobs and work here. 😂 But I’m happy with my current job, so I just laughed it off.
Basic Information 📍
- Location: 425 Mission St, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA
- Hours: Daily from 6 AM to 9 PM
- Admission: Free
- Parking: None (Public transport or walking recommended)
Located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, the park is very accessible. However, since there is no designated parking, using public transportation or walking is the best option.
A Unique Floating Garden 🌱

Salesforce Park isn’t just any ordinary park—it’s a floating park built on top of a building. Being in one of the most expensive real estate areas in San Francisco, the fact that a large green space like this exists is impressive. The park is actually situated on the roof of the Salesforce Transit Center, making it feel like an urban oasis.
There are several entry points, but I took the elevator up. Inside the elevator, there were simple park usage rules posted, which were quite similar to those of any public park in Korea.
Features of Salesforce Park 🏞️

This place truly embodies the idea of an urban healing space. The park is larger than I expected, with well-maintained landscapes that make it a pleasant place to stroll around. The park is divided into different themed areas, and these stood out the most:
1. Lawn & Rest Areas 🌿
Throughout the park, there are spacious grassy areas where people can relax without needing mats or camping chairs. Many visitors were lying down, reading books, or simply enjoying the sunshine. On a clear day, the bright blue sky and fresh air of San Francisco make it the perfect spot to unwind.
2. Exotic Plants & Themed Zones 🌺
Various types of plants are grown throughout the park, including a bamboo forest-like area, which I found fascinating. It’s rare to see bamboo in the middle of a U.S. city, so it felt quite special. There were also flowers with important meanings in Buddhism, and I heard they are quite expensive. This was another example of Salesforce’s impressive wealth. 😆
3. Hummingbirds in the City 🐦
One of the most surprising aspects of this park was how easy it was to spot hummingbirds. In Korea, these birds are nearly impossible to see, but here, they were flying around in flocks. The park’s nature-friendly design seemed to attract not just hummingbirds but a variety of birds freely moving around the area.
4. Yoga & Event Spaces 🎶
There is a designated area for yoga and small performances. While no events were happening when I visited, this space is often used by Salesforce employees to relax and take a break. However, if a private company event is being held, some areas may be restricted to the public. Fortunately, there were no such events on the day I visited, so I could explore freely.
Tips for Visiting Salesforce Park ✨
- Use Public Transport: Since there’s no parking, walking or taking public transit is the best choice.
- Elevator Access: Multiple entry points are available, but the elevator is the most convenient option.
- Free Admission: Open to everyone at no cost.
- Check for Events: Some areas may be closed for Salesforce employee events.
- Great for Photos: The combination of greenery and city skyline makes for stunning photos—no filters needed!
Final Thoughts ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat in the middle of the city, Salesforce Park is a must-visit spot in San Francisco. The concept of a floating garden is unique, and the beautiful landscaping makes for an incredibly relaxing experience. It’s free to enter and offers a close-up experience with nature, making it one of the best attractions in the city.
👉 Would definitely visit again on my next trip to San Francisco!
